Il villaggio di Gottesgabe fa parte di Altfriedland, una frazione del comune di Neuhardenberg nel distretto di Märkisch-Oderland, Brandeburgo. Le funzioni amministrative sono svolte dall'ufficio di Neuhardenberg. Nel 2005 a Gottesgabe vivevano 75 abitanti.
Gottesgabe fu acquistato nel 1304 dalle cistercensi del monastero di Friedland come fattoria per l'allevamento di bovini e ovini. Dopo la secolarizzazione del monastero a metà del XVI secolo, rimase come proprietà terriera dell'ormai dominio di Friedland. Durante il periodo della DDR, fu gestito come cooperativa agricola di produzione. Nel 1990 l'uso agricolo fu interrotto. Gli pochi edifici rimasti, fatiscenti, sono stati in parte restaurati da allora.
