El pueblo de Gottesgabe es parte de Altfriedland, un distrito de la comunidad de Neuhardenberg en el distrito de Märkisch-Oderland, Brandeburgo. Los asuntos administrativos son gestionados por la oficina de Neuhardenberg. En el año 2005, Gottesgabe tenía 75 habitantes.
Gottesgabe fue comprado en 1304 por las cistercienses del monasterio de Friedland como una granja para la cría de ganado y ovejas. Tras la secularización del monasterio a mediados del siglo XVI, permaneció como propiedad agrícola en la ahora dominio de Friedland. Durante la época de la RDA, se administró como cooperativa de producción agrícola. En 1990 se detuvo el uso agrícola. Los pocos edificios restantes y en ruinas han sido parcialmente restaurados desde entonces.
