Biegen is a district of the municipality of Briesen, southeast of Berlin in the district of Oder-Spree in Brandenburg. Briesen is administered by the Odervorland office.
During the Vistulian ice age, the glacial ice made an arc from Döbberin over Rosengarten, passing south of Booßen, continuing over Beresinchen to Kunowice. When the ice melted, the meltwater flowed south above Frankfurt. It is believed that a small tributary from the sandy ground and Langen Grund near Güldendorf flowed into this stream. The water collected in a trough, the so-called Warsaw-Berlin Urstromtal. An end-morainic landscape formed with larger elevations, and the deposits west of the Oder created a plateau, today's Lebuser Land. The boulders that remained were transported by the ice from Scandinavia to the Oder. The remnants of the meltwater basins are the present-day Höllenseen, the elongated depression is the Höllengrund, and the outflow channels are the Kehlen.
