The Breite Weg is a street in the old town of Magdeburg. The Breite Weg was once considered the most beautiful Baroque street in Germany due to its grand palaces and citizens' houses in the Baroque style. In World War II, the Baroque street was largely destroyed.
The main shopping street of the city of Magdeburg runs in a north-south direction and is located between the Magdeburg University Square in the north and the Hasselbachplatz in the south. The wide street once ran through the Sudenburger Gate to Sudenburg.
