Dittelsdorf is a village in the southeastern Upper Lusatia in the Görlitz district. The Saxon village has around 900 inhabitants and was an independent municipality until its incorporation into Hirschfelde in 2002. Since 2007, Dittelsdorf has been a district of the town of Zittau. The village is known for the over 120 very well-preserved and maintained half-timbered houses from the 17th to 19th centuries.
The village is located in the southeastern part of the district, about ten kilometers north of Zittau, lying on the slopes of the Steinberg and the Buchberg. The town is intersected by the Buchbergbach and the Ziegelscheunenbach, which merge in Niederdorf and subsequently flow into the Kemmlitzbach. In terms of development, Dittelsdorf is adjacent to the southeastern located Hirschfelde. Nearby forest areas include Klosterwald in the northeast and Oberwald in the northwest.
