The Wörlitz Park, also known as the Wörlitz Garden or Wörlitz Gardens, in Wörlitz in the district of Wittenberg, is an important part of the "Dessau-Wörlitz Garden Kingdom", which is now listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and was created in the second half of the 18th century under the reign of Prince Leopold III Friedrich Franz von Anhalt-Dessau. The park was created on Lake Wörlitz, a tributary of the Elbe, and is part of the Saxony-Anhalt Garden Dreams network. It covers a total area of 112.5 hectares and is directly adjacent to the city of Wörlitz.
The park was laid out from 1769 to 1773 and expanded until 1813; it is considered one of the first and is one of the largest German landscape parks based on the English model. At the same time, the park had an educational mission that ranged from architecture, garden art and also agriculture. The prince's goals in the park design were:
