The Dingdener Heide Nature Reserve covers approximately 212 hectares and is located in the district of Dingden in the area of the North Rhine-Westphalian city of Hamminkeln.
The area lies in the transition zone between the Münsterland and the Lower Rhine and mainly consists of extensively used fresh, moist to wet grassland areas. These are structured by field shrubberies and hedgerows and are particularly valuable as a habitat for several endangered bird species.
