Het natuurreservaat Dingdener Heide is ongeveer 212 hectare groot en bevindt zich in de gemeente Dingden in het gebied van de Noordrijn-Westfaalse stad Hamminkeln.
Het gebied ligt in de overgangszone tussen het Münsterland en het Neder-Rijn en strekt zich voornamelijk uit over extensief gebruikte frisse, vochtige tot natte graslandgebieden. Deze zijn door houtwallen en haakstructuren gegroepeerd en zijn bijzonder waardevol als leefgebied voor verschillende bedreigde vogelsoorten.
