L'area naturale protetta della Dingdener Heide è di circa 212 ettari e si trova nel comune di Dingden nell'area della città di Hamminkeln, in Renania Settentrionale-Vestfalia.
Il territorio è situato nella zona di transizione tra il Münsterland e il Basso Reno e si estende principalmente su prati freschi, umidi fino a bagnati utilizzati in modo estensivo. Questi sono suddivisi da alberi e strutture di cespugli e sono particolarmente preziosi come habitat per diverse specie di uccelli minacciate.
