The Himmelpfort Lock is a self-service lock located in the Lychen water area. It is located in Himmelpfort, a district of the city of Fürstenberg/Havel in the north of the state of Brandenburg.
The first lock between the Causeway and the Stolpsee was built in 1752 in connection with the navigability of the Woblitz. In order to do justice to the increasing navigation on the waters of the region, a lock was built from 1879 to 1882 according to the Finow measure, rebuilt in 1907 and renovated and rebuilt in 1976. Before the reconstruction in 1976, the lock chamber had sloping brick gravity walls with wooden piles struck for mooring ships.
