The printing company J. J. Augustin is a typesetting and printing company with a publishing department based in Glückstadt that has been operating since 1632 and was significant for scientific printed materials, especially for Asian scripts, during the era of hand typesetting techniques. Since 2014, there has been an initiative in Glückstadt to establish a museum in the historic premises of the business. As part of the museum, typesetting and printing with metal type on the old original machines will be demonstrated.
