Jewish Cemetery Schriesheim

The Jewish Cemetery of Schriesheim is a Jewish cemetery in Schriesheim, a town in the Rhein-Neckar district in northern Baden-Württemberg. The cemetery is a protected cultural monument.
The deceased of the Jewish community of Schriesheim were buried from 1678 in the association cemetery located 15 kilometers away, the Jewish cemetery of Hemsbach. The Schriesheim community was part of the burial association of the association cemetery founded in 1716. Of the preserved gravestones in Hemsbach, 39 belong to Schriesheim Jews. In 1874, a separate cemetery was established near the Christian cemetery, where the deceased Jewish residents of Dossenheim were also buried. At that time, the Jewish community of Schriesheim consisted of about 110 people.
