The Moersbach, known as Moerskanal in its upper course, is a small stream in the district of Wesel in North Rhine-Westphalia. The brook lies on the left bank of the Lower Rhine and begins in Krefeld-Traar. It flows through the urban area of Moers from south to north and discharges into the Rhine in the district of Ossenberg near Rheinberg. Over its nearly 30 km length, the Moersbach receives water from many small drainage streams, predominantly referred to as "X-drains," and serves as the outlet for an area of about 160 km².
