The Itztal Bridge is a railway viaduct in Upper Franconia located between the towns of Rödental and Dörfles-Esbach, spanning the valley of the Itz with the Coburg–Sonneberg railway line and the Herzogswalk. The structure is part of the new line Ebensfeld–Erfurt between line kilometers 107.714 and 108.582. Parallel to the railway bridge, at a distance of approximately 25 meters on the western side, runs the Itztal Bridge of the A73 motorway.
The track layout is curved in the structure area at a design speed of 300 km/h, with the gradient falling towards the north at 12.5 promille. The bridge has a solid roadway with a track spacing of 4.7 meters and locally on both sides a noise barrier of 2.0 meters in height. The rail top is located a maximum of 31 meters above the valley floor. The construction costs were about 18 million euros.
