The Reitzenstein Barracks in Wesel am Niederrhein were built from 1900 to 1902. They are listed as a historic monument, had various functions throughout the 20th century, and were converted into a residential complex starting in 2003.
The buildings of the Reitzenstein Barracks are located in the Wesel district of Schepersfeld, approximately one kilometer northeast of the city center in a straight line. However, nearby railway facilities create a spatial separation from the city center. The buildings are aligned along Friedenstraße, which runs in a north-south direction, and are bounded by Blücherstraße, which merges from the north, and Quadenweg, which merges from the south. The barracks now serve as a residential complex and are bordered to the north, east, and south by residential areas. A road running southeast of the barracks within the residential area is named Reitzensteinstraße. There is a bus stop on Friedenstraße called Reitzensteinkaserne, which connects it via Fusternberg to the Wesel train station.
