Karl Deutsch is the name of a family business that specializes in the development and manufacture of devices for non-destructive material testing. The company's headquarters is located in Wuppertal in the Elberfeld-West district.
In 1948, Karl Deutsch participated in the Hannover Messe with the prototype of a coating thickness measuring device. One year later, Karl Deutsch founded his company in Wuppertal. In the early days, devices and machines for ultrasonic testing and crack testing were primarily developed and manufactured. In the early 1960s, magnetic particle crack testing devices were added to the product range. In 1961, Volker Deutsch joined the company as managing director.
