The Simeonstift City Museum Trier, formerly known as the "Municipal Museum Trier," is located in the buildings of the former Simeonstift around the courtyard with the fountain, right next to the Porta Nigra. The permanent exhibition showcases artistic and cultural treasures from the early modern period to the 20th century. Insights into the life and daily routines, economy and trade, politics and faith, art and technology of the Trier population are provided.
