The Roman villa near Kinheim-Kindel is a country estate of a Moselle winegrower that was excavated starting in 1976, located above the district of Kinheim-Kindel, below Lösnich in the parcel named "Villenbungert". During road construction work as part of the land consolidation, extensive wall remains were encountered in 1976, which turned out to be remnants of a Roman dwelling house. The Rhineland State Museum uncovered the house of a farmer or winegrower in a rescue excavation. The uncovered foundation walls, with most room layouts still reconstructable, were backfilled after the archaeological investigations, except for a small area in the middle of the building that remains accessible today. Not far from the site, in the Lösnich hinterland, at an elevation towards Wolf, about 1.5 km away, there was another "Roman neighbor", the Roman estate at Lösnich. The establishment and abandonment of this country estate have been dated to the 1st to 4th centuries AD.
