The Nibelungenschule is a school building that is a listed historic monument located in the Rhineland-Palatinate city of Worms. The building complex encloses, on two sides, the Karl-Hofmann-Anlage named after the Worms city architect Karl Hofmann.
The individual plans created by city architect Hofmann from the time of his appointment in 1885 were vividly presented in a comprehensive urban planning document he developed and commented on in 1889. This document reported, among other things, that the already existing Neusatz, as well as the Karmeliter school, had reached their capacity limits, necessitating the construction of another school. The name of the school building was derived from the location planned by Hofmann at Nibelungenring.
