The Stengel Church Wellesweiler is a deconsecrated Protestant parish church in the Neunkirchen district of Wellesweiler. The building is listed as a monument.
According to construction records, there was already a church at the location of the current building in the Middle Ages. This was confirmed during excavation work carried out during a restoration in 1995. It was a choir tower church from the 14th/15th century. On the east side of an almost square room, a square tower was attached, in whose vaulted ground floor the altar stood. The altar foundation in the area of the tower was still present. Due to ceramic fragments from the 9th or 10th century and documented mentions, it even seems possible that there might have been a church during Carolingian times.
