The Hagenwerder station is the train station of the Görlitz district of Hagenwerder. It is the southernmost station in the Görlitz urban area. The station was opened in 1875 with the Görlitz–Seidenberg railway line and was a junction station until 1945 after the railway line through the Neisse valley to Zittau was introduced. It only became a through station after the destruction of the Neisse bridge of the Görlitz-Seidenberg railway south of the town in 1945 and the subsequent dismantling of the track on the German side.
The station is located west of the town center of Hagenwerder and is separated from the town by the federal highway 99. The station building is set back a few meters from the road. Since the end of 2010, a local transport hub has been developed on the site of the goods shed, connecting bus and train traffic. The goods sheds were demolished for this purpose in 2010.
