The Benedictusberg, named after the beautiful Benedictine abbey of Mamelis that lies to the left of the slope, runs along the German-Dutch border up from Mamelis to Bocholtzerheide. The path is not only steep (average 8.4%) but difficult to climb due to the gravel surface with holes and gullies. This is the reason why some MTB riders opt for the asphalt variant that is located to the right of the slope. The climb is 700 meters long.
