The Mercedes-Benz Gaggenau plant is a joint operation of the Mercedes-Benz Group and Daimler Truck AG in Gaggenau. It covers an area of 639,041 m2, employs 6,360 people, and is the largest industrial operation in the Black Forest.
In Gaggenau, transmissions and external planetary axles for trucks are produced. The products include manual and automated gearboxes, commercial vehicle axles, and torque converters for passenger car automatic transmissions. Additionally, products in the field of cutting technology, forming technology, and services in international logistics are offered. In the Rastatt plant, commonly referred to as the Rastatt transmission plant, gearboxes for trucks and the A- and B-Class are manufactured. The Gaggenau plant includes the Kuppenheim press shop, which produces outer skin and structural components for trucks and cars.
