Kniebis-Alexanderschanze is a nature reserve located in the area of the Baden-Württemberg city of Freudenstadt and the municipality of Baiersbronn.
The nature reserve was designated by regulation of the Karlsruhe government on December 18, 1996, and originally covered an area of about 190 hectares. The scope of the protection area regulation was reduced in 2014 by § 19 of the National Park Act to include only the areas outside the national park, which is why the designated area of the nature reserve is now only 134.6 hectares in size.
