The Tantelbruch nature reserve is located in the municipalities of Brüggen, Niederkrüchten and Schwalmtal in the district of Viersen in North Rhine-Westphalia.
The approximately 136.20-hectare area, which was placed under nature conservation in 1982, extends east of the core town of Brüggen along the Schwalm. To the west runs the Bundesstraße 221 and to the north the Landesstraße 373. On the southeastern edge of the area runs the Landesstraße 372.
