The Elmpter Schwalmbruch nature reserve is located in the municipalities of Brüggen and Niederkrüchten in the district of Viersen in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany.
The approximately 295.91 hectare area, which was placed under nature conservation in 1964, stretches southwest of the core village of Brüggen along the Schwalm, directly on the L 373 state road running along the northern edge. The state border with the Netherlands runs along the western edge of the area, and the A 52 runs south.
