PICNIC AREA ICHTERLOH
In the midst of wild garlic forests and right next to the "old oak of Ichterloh" lies this beautiful picnic area. Perhaps you will already be greeted at the entrance of the 230-hectare large forest area by a nightingale singing. The nature reserve Ichterloh is located in the territories of the municipalities of Ascheberg and Nordkirchen in the Coesfeld district. Upon arrival at the picnic area, you will find a viewpoint with a wide view over the Münsterland landscape. At the foot of the depression once stood the Ichterloh castle, which disappeared after 500 years of history. On site, you can leisurely cycle through the forest or walk across wide fields and farms.
