Willmersdorf is a village and former municipality of Cottbus, in Brandenburg, Germany. The residential area of Lakoma belonged to the district of Willmersdorf, which was partially devastated in 1989 and completely in 2008 in favour of the opencast lignite mine in Cottbus-Nord. Until December 1993, Willmersdorf was an independent municipality in the former district of Cottbus.
Willmersdorf is located on the northeastern outskirts of Cottbus, in Lower Lusatia. The town of Peitz is about four kilometres away. The surrounding villages and districts are the town of Peitz in the north, the districts of Maust in the northeast and Neuendorf in the east, Dissenchen and Merzdorf in the south, Saspow in the west and Skadow in the northwest.
