The term "Zeughaus" refers to an old hunting lodge in the valley of the Great Zschand in the Hintere Sächsische Schweiz. It is located in the area of Ottendorf and thus belongs to Sebnitz.
The Hintere Sächsische Schweiz has always been a hunting ground for the lords of Hohnstein as well as the Saxon electors. As early as Elector Augustus of Saxony, the Great Zschand and the areas west of it around the Little and Great Winterberg were used as a hunting area. The hunting equipment necessary for this was presumably already stored in a small wooden house at the Little Winterberg in the 16th century. From 1670, the forester's lodge in Lichtenhain also served as a storage place.
