Bornow

Bornow is a district of the town of Beeskow in the Oder-Spree district. The formerly independent municipality was incorporated into the town of Beeskow on December 6, 1993.

Bornow is located about 3.5 km straight line west of the city center of Beeskow on the Beeskower Platte. The center of the village of Kohlsdorf is only about 1 km south of the village center. The development of Bornow stretches along Bornower Feldstraße/Kohlsdorfer Straße with only a few hundred meters of interruption up to Kohlsdorf. The municipal area borders to the north on Birkholz, to the east on the municipal area of Beeskow, to the south on the municipal area of Kohlsdorf, and to the west on the municipal area of Buckow. The B 236 runs east-west through the municipal area and the village. In the eastern part of the municipal area, it intersects with the north-south running new B 87, the bypass road of Beeskow. The railway line Königs Wusterhausen–Grunow runs to the north of the village, while the southern part of the municipal area is served by the Niederlausitz Railway.
