Schloss Hennersdorf was a manor house built at the end of the 19th century in place of an old building of the aristocratic estate in Hennersdorf. The municipality of Hennersdorf is now a district of the city of Kamenz in the Saxon district of Bautzen in the north of Upper Lusatia. The castle was demolished after 1945.
The history of the castle goes back to a knight's estate first mentioned in 1532, to which the village of Gelenau also belonged since 1777. Around 1750, the noble family Maxen owned the knight's estate. With an interruption between 1795 and 1816, the estate belonged to the noble family Schönberg since 1771. Other sources mention the Schönbergs earlier, but cite a family of Buchner as the owners until the end of the 18th century. In 1795, Henriette Sofie von Buchner née von Carlowitz died in Hennersdorf and Gelenau. She was the widow of the Electorate-Saxon Major Rudolf August von Buchner.
