The Lindow Evangelical Church is a Baroque church located in Lindow, in the Ostprignitz-Ruppin district of Brandenburg, Germany. It belongs to the parish of Lindow in the Oberes Havelland church district of the Evangelical Church Berlin-Brandenburg-Silesia Upper Lusatia and can be visited by appointment.
A predecessor building to the current church was built in 1457. In 1638, the city was destroyed by imperial troops. In the years 1694-1696, a new church was built for the Swiss settlers who were settling there at that time. In 1744 and 1746, the city was again destroyed by fire. After that, the current church was built in the years 1751-1755 by Georg Christoph Berger as a large, breathless plaster church. The interior of the building was last restored in 1960 and from 1995 to 2002.
The church is cruciform in the ground plan by annexes in front of the long walls. The tall, square east tower has been moved in line with the main street and is crowned by a sharply tapered top with a rear hood. The nave is divided by tall arched windows from 1838 and a quoin ashlar, the portals of the transverse arms are framed by double pilasters, and there is also a pilaster structure on the tower. The high interior is used as a transverse church and is characterized by the curved floor plan and the moving sculptural design of the double gallery on three sides as well as the furniture from the time of construction.
