The nature reserve Werder Besandten is located in the area of the municipality of Lenzerwische in the district of Prignitz in Brandenburg.
This area with the identification number 1425 was placed under nature protection by regulation on May 16, 1990. The approximately 113 ha large nature reserve extends northwest, west, and south of Besandten, a populated district of Lenzerwische. The area lies directly next to the Elbe River flowing to the west. Along the middle of the Elbe runs the state boundary to Lower Saxony, and at the northern edge of the area is the state boundary to Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. The B 195 runs to the east, and to the northeast flows the Löcknitz, a right tributary of the Elbe.
