The Lossen Monument in Wernigerode is a group of rock samples enclosed by an open cast-iron fence, with a cast medallion featuring the portrait of the German geologist Karl August Lossen mounted on the highest average stone, as well as several memorial plaques on the front and back.
The monument is located on Hagenstraße, which connects the two districts of Hasserode and Drei Annen Hohne in the city of Wernigerode in Saxony-Anhalt. The historically significant Thumkuhlenthal, which leads to Ottofels and Steinernen Renne in its upper part, branches off from Hagenstraße at the Lossen Monument.
