Tätendorf-Eppensen is a municipality in the district of Uelzen, in Lower Saxony, Germany. Tätendorf-Eppensen belongs to the municipality of Barum and has over 300 inhabitants.
In a documentary mention of the Oldenstadt monastery from 1006, the place was still called Thedandorp.
The settlement of Eppenhusen was only mentioned in writing later. In another Oldenstadt document from 1133, there is talk of an "Ibiksen". It is unclear whether this is Eppensen.
In another document from 1142, the place is referred to as Eppensen. According to the local historian Adolf Bätge, this document is a forgery.
