Old Town School Wedel

The Altstadt School is one of three elementary schools in the city of Wedel. The Altstadt School Wedel had a total of 376 students in the 2020/2021 school year, of which 363 were in 16 regular classes and 13 in a German-as-a-Second-Language class.
As an open all-day elementary school, the Altstadt School has a kitchen and a cafeteria for lunch. Following lessons, the school offers a voluntary program in the areas of art, sports, music, natural sciences, religion, and relaxation. The school provides a paid after-school care service in the afternoon. Through individualized instruction with differentiated offers for support, as well as remedial teaching and accompanying programs for particularly gifted students, the school caters to the children's needs.
