The Christoph-Rübsamen bridge is a bicycle and pedestrian bridge that spans the Lahn river in the central Hesse city of Gießen. Constructed as a project for a state garden show, the bridge was opened in spring 2014 after a construction period of one and a half years. It is one of eight crossings of the river within the city and is based on infrastructural and urban planning considerations that emerged as early as the beginning of the 20th century.
