The Plotzsäg mill, also known as Plotzsägmühl and Plotzsägmühle, is a former sawmill and a present-day residential area with an inn located in the district of Loffenau in the Rastatt region of Baden-Württemberg.
The Plotzsäg mill is situated in the Northern Black Forest at an elevation of 527 meters above sea level on the eastern edge of the Loffenau district, neighboring the Bad Herrenalber hamlet of Zieflensberg. It is located in the narrow upper valley of the Alb, 2.5 km below its source. Despite this short length, the Alb carries enough water that a mill could be operated there in earlier times. The valley floor has been part of the Albtal and side valleys nature reserve since 1994. A connecting road leads from the Loffenau town center, which lies in a side valley of the Murg, over the 569 m high saddle Rißwasen. The mill can be accessed from Bad Herrenalb via the Gaistal.
