Wet meadows in the northern Münsterland

The Feuchtwiesen area in the northern Münsterland is a European bird sanctuary in the north of the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia, designated by ordinance of 2008 of the Münster Regional Council.

The purpose of the European Union's Birds Directive is to conserve wild bird species native to the territory of its Member States and to regulate the protection, management and regulation of these birds, their eggs and habitats.
