Bröleck is a district of the municipality of Ruppichteroth on the Bundesstraße 478. This is where the Bröl and Waldbrölbach rivers meet.
The place with its current name has only existed since November 16, 1956. The village of Felderhoferbrücke, which belongs to the municipality of Ruppichteroth, had a name that was too long in the opinion of 95% of the inhabitants there. The municipality accepted the application to change the place name to Bröleck. The settlements of Felderhof, the demolished forester's lodge Tüschenhohn, Sieferhof, Haus Bröleck and Lindenhof, which at that time belonged to the municipality of Winterscheid, joined the new village with the permission of the Winterscheid municipal council.
