The König-Ludwig-Trasse is a former railway line in the Ruhr area in the towns of Castrop-Rauxel and Recklinghausen, which connected the King Ludwig I/II and IV/V collieries with the coal loading port on the Rhine-Herne Canal in Pöppinghausen. The route has been developed over a length of 2.5 km from the harbour to Orthlohstraße as a pedestrian and cycle path and was opened on this section in December 2008. The route is to be rededicated until its end at the Blumenthal slag heap in Oer-Erkenschwick.
