Neurath is located in the far southwest of the Reusrath district of the city of Langenfeld. Neurath's western neighbor is Leverkusen's Voigtslach district, which belonged to the Reusrath area and thus to Langenfeld for centuries until the municipal reform of 1975. To the south, it borders the also Leverkusen-owned Rheindorf. To the north lies Langenfeld-Mitte, separated by the A 542. There is a road connection to Mehlbruch and Gieslenberg as an overpass over the former Cöln-Mindener railway, which was established in 1845. The western boundary is formed by the A 59, over which another overpass leads to Voigtslach. From Rheindorf, Neurath can only be accessed via unpaved field paths. North and west of the estate Widdauen, which belongs to Neurath, large groundwater lakes have spread today, created by the extraction of gravel and sand.
