Gillrath is a district of Geilenkirchen in the district of Heinsberg in North Rhine-Westphalia. With its approximately 1,800 inhabitants, Gillrath is the second-largest district outside the actual town center, after Teveren.
Gillrath is located west of the town of Geilenkirchen near the Dutch border. The Rodebach runs almost through the entire area and flows further towards Gangelt and then into the Netherlands.
