Langbroich is located about four kilometers north of Gangelt at the district roads 3 and 17. Near the village, at the Saeffeler Bach, is the nature reserve Höngener- und Saeffeler Bruch.
During heavy rainfall and snowmelt, surface water flows from the area of Langbroich into the Saeffeler Bach and then further via the Rodebach into the Maas. The Saeffeler Bach has a length of 12.747 km with a total catchment area of 47.479 km².
The source of the Saeffeler Bach originally sprang in Langbroich at the fork of Quellstraße - Brauereistraße.
