The castle of Rotenburg an der Wümme doesn't exist anymore. Probably in this residency Queen Christina was in July 1654 welcomed by Hans Christoph von Königsmarck, who had received it as a gift from Christina for his alliance in de Thirty Years War. Nowadays at the spot of the castle you find a hill near the Heimatmuseum.
