The Altenahr cable car was a chairlift that began operation in 1953, which led from Altenahr in the Ahrweiler district in northern Rhineland-Palatinate to the 351-meter-high Ditschhardt mountain, overcoming a height difference of 180 meters over a distance of 650 meters. The operational facilities included, in addition to the cable car with its mountain and valley stations, a parking lot and a bridge over the Ahr.
