Eurode walks route nr 9 Eurode Route

This cross-border route starts in Herzogenrath, Germany, where you soon end up in the wooded area of the Worm valley with its special flora and fauna. Further on you pass the Westwall, also known as the Siegfried Line, and the stately Haus Heyden. On the Kerkrade side of the border, you walk through the Anstelerbeek valley and the Stadspark. After that, the cozy city center of Kerkrade is on the program, with its many terraces and the colorful statue Viva la Vida. After passing Rolduc Abbey, you cross the border again to return to the starting point via the monumental Burcht Rode. This route is part of the brochure '11 Walks in Eurode', which is available free of charge at the VVV Service Point in HuB Kerkrade (Theaterplein 30)
