The path is very well signposted on two sides!

We parked the car in the Rabüscheck parking lot and then started the clock loop clockwise. In this way, we managed the most difficult part of the descent. The descent took us through the vineyards to the beautiful village of Sehndorf, which we amusingly crossed. During the descent we had beautiful views of the Moselle valley. Soon we immersed ourselves in the beautiful forests, only to enjoy the overwhelmingly beautiful views of Perl and the Moselle valley again a while later.

The hike also passes the Dreiländerblick viewpoint. On the other side of the Moselle you can see Luxembourg, France on the left and Germany on the right.

"The german-French nature reserve Hammelsberg is the highlight of this short hike above the Saarland wine-growing community of Perl. Seventeen different species of wild orchids thrive on the sun-drenched limestone soils on the southern slope of the more than 30-hectare nature park. Behind Oberperl the jungle seems to begin. Creepers, ivy and lianas hang from the trees, the path winds along the slope, unexpected views of the thicket reveal themselves behind every bend. This is followed by fantastic views over the Moselle valley far into the Lorraine basin. On the left, the Lorraine commune of Sierck-les-Bain. The former castle from the 11th century had been converted into a fortress by Vauban. On the other side of the Moselle, the border between France and Luxembourg runs on the Stromberg. Directly on the banks of the Moselle lies Schengen, the municipality in Luxembourg where European history was written. Vines grow on the slopes of the Moselle in France, Luxembourg and Germany. Wine is grown only a few kilometers on the right bank of the Moselle in Saarland and only Perl is allowed to adorn itself with the attribute "wine-growing community". Seventeen different species of wild orchids and a dozen orchids thrive on the sun-drenched limestone soil on the southern slope of the Hammelsberg in the more than 30-hectare nature park.
