A rather easy hiking tour through short sections of forest and past fields from Kirkel-Limbach to the Abstäberhof to the industrial park in Kirkel and back to Limbach. However, due to the 9 km distance, the hike is quite long. The gradients are marginal.
The Mutterbachtal walking trail is a circular hiking trail that leads to the Silbersandquelle spring, the Abstäberhof farm and the Gänseweiher pond. There are several places to stop for refreshments along the 9 km hiking trail, which makes this tour special. Fields and forest sections alternate on the hike. In two places, you also have to cross the railroad line. In some places, hikers can sit down at one or two benches.
