French flair in Sarreguemines, green floodplains along the Blies and flowering meadows characterize the first stage of the Bliessteig trail.

The first stage of the Bliessteig impresses with its numerous paths and trails along the water. After the start in Sarreguemines in France, the Blies is crossed several times, crossing the national border. The route often takes you along forest paths and narrow trails, but also through French villages and open landscapes. The highlights of this stage are the Bliesmühle mill and the gem of Gräfinthal.
